March has for several years now engaged Wilsons Traffic Management as their preferred TM subcontractor.
The team are extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of Temporary Traffic Management and the requirements of the local Road Controlling Authorities. Their STMS’s and TC’s always build good relationships with our site staff which contributes greatly to the safe and efficient management of the various sites we have in operation. Safety is always at the forefront of their thinking particularly for our staff carrying out the work in often narrow working corridors and challenging environmental conditions. This gives us great confidence that our staff will be protected as well as the other affected stakeholders.
They have always been responsive to our needs particularly when we have had to mobilise at short notice to carry out emergency repair works on infrastructure for local authorities. This year we have been called upon by the CCC to do exactly this on deep brick barrel sewer and stormwater pipelines that are collapsing on high volume main arterial roads in Fitzgerald Avenue and Stanmore Road. Their positive and responsive attitude in these situations have been well noted and appreciated by both ourselves and the CCC.
I have also been particularly impressed by their willingness to engage with us to solve problems as they arise on site. Often the fluid nature of our work means we must adapt our methods from what was originally planned. Having a TM subcontractor that understands what we need to achieve and can implement plans and set ups that allow us to do this safely and efficiently but at the same time comply with the requirements of the RCA and COPTTM is of great benefit to us.
As a company that is in its 53rd year of operation we have built many long-term relationships with our key subcontractors and suppliers and value these greatly. Whilst our relationship with Wilsons is only a few years old we see them as one of our key long-term partners and look forward to working with them on many more contracts together.
